An early morning departure took us into beautiful Bella Coola to visit with friends and relatives. A quick stop to check in with Mark and Donna, then on to Auntie Verna’s for a wander through her fabulous gardens, G’nT, and an afternoon spent chatting while picking/eating blueberries.
More excitement in the evening, dining with Allen Stiles and the bears on Stiles’ Road (with more friends that we haven’t seen in years).
At Sunday morning coffee with U Ron, A Maureen and Leslie, Uncle Ron obliged us by modelling his Blue Jays gear (upcoming trip to Toronto and gear, an 80th Birthday present from his family).
Hard to believe that we didn’t remember our rain-gear, but there we were with A Verna, photographing the sites in Bella Coola after lunch at the Cedar Inn between raindrops (>70mm in 24 hrs) . How did everything get so small and close together?
Another lovely evening with Mark and Donna, catching up (before Mark went out to Camp) and we were off up-hill to Tatlayoko on Monday morn. A big thanks to Mark and Donna for their wonderful hospitality!
On our way out of the valley to Tatlayoko we stopped by to see the House Graves and Green River. Another successful trek into BC.
